Thoresby Meadows is on the edge of the popular Lincolnshire village of North Thoresby overlooking the Lincolnshire Wolds. It’s ideally located, being close to the A16 and only around 15 minutes from both Grimsby/Cleethorpes and Louth.
The Wolds are within easy reach and feature wide-open hills with plenty of walks and the coast, with it’s quiet (and often huge) beaches, is only around 10 minutes away. Further afield Lincoln is around 30 miles away and Humberside Airport only 18 miles. The village is served by a bus route between Grimsby and Louth and National Express Coaches even stop at the nearby pub on their way to London!
With a history going back to Roman times North Thoresby the popular village is served by two public houses and there’s a village square with shops including a hardware store and village takeaways. What’s more, there’s a well-regarded doctor’s surgery and pharmacy near the centre and the village has football, cricket and outdoor bowling clubs. There’s even a heritage railway (Lincolnshire Wolds Railway) running full-size steam locomotives from the village to nearby Ludborough!
The village is served by a school which caters for children aged 4 to 11 years old and, for older children, there’s a good choice of secondary schools, including a grammar school, in nearby Louth, New Waltham and Grimsby.
