Garages and Garage Doors

During prolonged periods of rain, there will be some water penetration of single skin brickwork in detached garages (this is not a fault).  We therefore advise you do not place perishable items in the garage and particularly not on the floor or against the walls of your garage.  Similarly, perishable items should not be placed in the line of an internal overflow pipe inside integral garages.

When closing your garage door, turn the handle and shut carefully.  It should not be slammed shut.  If the door is slammed it will damage the locking system.

Doors will be installed as per manufacturer’s recommendations. During prolonged periods of rain, there will be some water penetration of single skin brickwork in detached garages (this is not a defect). Cyden will adjust garage doors and locks in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations during the warranty period. Damage will only be repaired if reported on Legal Completion.

Homeowners should maintain doors in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. Garage door parts will benefit from regular maintenance.
